The agreement between you and us for using Cardගොඩ.
Last updated 10 September 2026
Cardගොඩ helps you understand statements you already have. It is not financial advice, and it can be wrong. Your bank's statement is always the authority.
By downloading or using Cardගොඩ you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use it.
Cardගොඩ is in open beta. It is incomplete, it will change, and it may contain defects. Features can be altered or removed. You should not rely on it as your only record of your finances.
You get a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Cardගොඩ on computers you own or control, for your own personal or household use.
You may not:
Cardගොඩ is not open source. The software and its name remain ours. This licence gives you the right to use it and nothing more.
Cardගොඩ is free while it is in open beta. There is no trial countdown and no card required.
It will eventually carry a price. Everyone who uses it during the beta keeps a permanent founder discount on that price. Your start date is recorded on your own machine when you first use the app, and you do not need to do anything to claim it.
We will not make a version you already have stop working in order to make you pay. Charging, when it starts, applies to what comes after.
Cardගොඩ reads statements automatically and checks what it read against the totals your bank printed. When those disagree it refuses to approve the statement rather than showing a number it cannot support.
That check reduces mistakes; it does not eliminate them. You are responsible for verifying anything you act on. If the app and your bank disagree, your bank is right.
Nothing in Cardගොඩ is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. It arranges information you already have. Decisions about borrowing, spending, or paying a card are yours, and you should take professional advice where it matters.
If you enable AI statement reading or Google Drive backup, you use Google services under your own Google account and Google's terms. We are not responsible for them, their availability, or their pricing. See the privacy policy for exactly what is sent.
Cardගොඩ is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will read every statement.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, nor for lost profits, lost data, or financial decisions made using the app.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Cardගොඩ in the twelve months before the claim, or 1,000 Sri Lankan rupees. While the app is free, that amount is likely to be the latter, and you should weigh that when deciding how much to rely on it.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Your data lives on your computer. Keep backups. A failed disk, a lost laptop or a mistaken deletion is not recoverable by us, because we never had a copy. The app can back up to a file or to your own Google Drive, and we recommend using one of them.
You may stop using Cardගොඩ at any time by uninstalling it. We may end this licence if you breach these terms. Your data stays yours and stays where it is.
These terms may change as the app leaves beta and starts charging. Material changes will be described in the release notes of the version that introduces them. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka, and the courts of Sri Lanka have jurisdiction over any dispute.
